It's at the core of everything we do.
Every surfboard is handmade on the East Coast of Australia, using the finest materials sourced from around the globe. From premium foam to top-quality resin, we prioritise strength, performance, and longevity. Our high-density foam may add a little weight, but it ensures each board is built to last reducing the need for frequent replacements and keeping boards in the water for years.
Materials & Construction
We're continuously exploring innovative materials like flax, bio blanks, and bio resins. While these options aren't ready for full-scale production just yet, they're showing great promise. We're committed to refining these materials to ensure they meet our high standards for quality and durability.
End-of-Life & Reuse
Our sustainability focus doesn’t end there. We're actively working with leading engineers in Australia to find creative ways to repurpose surfboards at the end of their life cycle. The vision? Transforming old boards into building materials, insulation, and even pavers. It's all part of our effort to reduce waste and give our boards a second life beyond the ocean.
Our Ethos
Our ethos is simple: build fewer boards, but build them to last. Because the longer a board stays in the water, the better it is for the planet.

Eco-Conscious Packaging
We’re committed to using eco-conscious packaging materials for shipping our surfboards worldwide. Our packaging includes cardboard, bio paper tape, bio cling, minimal glue, and, in some cases, bio bubble wrap. Our materials are chosen to minimise plastic use and lessen environmental impact. Each board is carefully packed to ensure it arrives safely while keeping waste to a minimum—good for your board, and even better for the planet.
How to Recycle Our Packaging Materials
We take care in how our boards are packed and shipped, using materials designed to protect your board while reducing environmental impact. Here’s how to responsibly recycle or reuse everything your board arrives in.
- Flatten the cardboard carton to save space and make recycling easier.
- Small amounts of glue or tape are generally accepted by most recycling programs.
- Place the flattened carton in your curbside recycling bin or take it to your local recycling centre.
Flexi-Hex is made from responsibly sourced paper and is 100% recyclable.
- Simply remove it from the board and place it straight into cardboard or paper recycling.
- No need to separate layers or remove tape.
- Flexi-Hex can also be reused for future board transport, storage, or resale.
- Our paper tape is biodegradable and recyclable.
- Leave it attached to the cardboard when recycling, it does not need to be removed.
In some cases, we use eco bubble wrap or EcoPure®-enhanced bubble wrap to provide additional protection.
- Where soft plastics recycling is available, this material can be recycled accordingly.
- If soft plastics recycling is not accessible, it can be disposed of in general waste.
- When sent to landfill, the EcoPure® additive accelerates breakdown significantly faster than conventional plastic and does not produce microplastics.
- Only minimal adhesive is used.
- Most recycling systems can process cardboard with small amounts of glue without issue.
- Keep it clean and dry: Make sure packaging is free from food waste, oils, or heavy dirt before recycling.
- Reuse where possible: Our cartons, Flexi-Hex, and eco bubble are ideal for board storage, moving house, or transporting boards in the future.
