Simon Jones Designs Surfboard Innovation Meets Poolside Play in the USA
This September 28, 2025, the Palm Springs Surf Club transforms into the ultimate surfboard playground with E.A.S.T. Fest, a surfboard-design celebration hosted by Stab, Kona Big Wave, and Vans. Imagine over 100 experimental surfboards from leading shapers waiting for you to test drive under the watchful eye of pros like Mikey February, Mason Ho, Nathan Fletcher, Harry Bryant, and more (Stab Mag).
What’s On Tap at the Stab EAST Fest:
- General Admission
- ($40 adults; $20 kids aged 3–12; free for under-3s): Includes gear test drives, live music, exclusive merch drops, surfboard giveaways, the debut of the new E.A.S.T. film starring Mikey February, and full access to the Surf Club’s waves, slides, lazy river, bars, restaurants—and that surf pool you know and love.
- A-Frames Surf Session
- ($250): Limited to 80 spots. You get an hour in the A-Frames lane, testing boards alongside two pro surfers plus General Admission perks.
- All ages welcome; some zones are 21+ (Stab Mag).

EAST Fest is kindred spirit - pushing board design beyond tradition and inviting surf culture into a new playground. It’s not just an event it’s a celebration of the wave-shaping future we’re collectively carving.
We’re just as excited about the event as you are. EAST Fest is a rare chance for us to connect in person, talk board design, and share what we’ve been working on. We’re taking some of our favourite shapes and designs over Fijis, Remote Locations, LBOH, Calypte, and Massive, to name a few. Come ride our boards, chat design, and maybe even walk away with a fresh stick under your arm or a custom order on the books. Custom orders will be limited, so if you’re keen, get in early.
